How does my agent sign in?

With OAuth. The first time you connect, your client opens a browser window and you sign in to Logo.dev. You never paste a secret key into its config, and you can revoke a client from your dashboard settings.

How is MCP usage billed?

Lookup and search tools count as MCP usage and spend API credits at the same rates as their REST routes, and they count toward the same rate limits. Subscription and webhook tools are free. See pricing for what each route costs.

Which plans can use it?

Each tool has the same plan access as its REST route. If your plan does not include a lookup, the tool returns an error instead of the brand.

Which clients work with it?

Any client that supports streamable HTTP and OAuth sign-in. We have setup guides for Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, and Codex. A client that only supports stdio cannot connect.

Can my agent change anything in my account?

Only your webhook setup. The subscription tools follow a brand, and the endpoint tools manage where webhooks go. Webhooks need a paid plan, and changing an endpoint takes the owner or admin role.

How is this different from the REST API?

It runs the same routes and returns the same data. Your agent calls a tool instead of your code sending a request. Credit and rate-limit headers stay on REST only.

3. Tell me how to sign in. In Claude Code, I run /mcp, select logo-dev, and choose Authenticate. If logo-dev isn't listed yet, I restart with claude --continue, which keeps this chat. In Cursor, I select Connect next to logo-dev in Cursor Settings > Tools & MCP. Codex signs in with the login command above, then I quit and run codex resume --last, which keeps this chat and loads the new server.

4. Once I've signed in, call the logo-dev search tool with q set to "Stripe" and show me the first result. Setup is done when that call works.
